What does marriage mean to you?

For us, marriage is an expression of desire, intimacy, adoration and passion. A promise made. Pure pleasure.  Marriage is a commitment of belonging to another, knowing you're a priority to your partner.
Marriage can relieve stress and calm you at the same time.

Your emotions matter! And nowhere is that more apparent than in our intimate, loving relationships. We want to become more connected, more secure in our marriage, but it's sometimes hard to leave the effects of past disappointments and hurts where they belong - in the past!

Recognizing our emotions, why we're having them, how they relate to our current feelings and behaviors and most of all, learning how to manage them so they don't "spill over" are the critical to becoming emotionally intelligent.

Once we recognize and learn to manage our emotions, we able to better move toward becoming more socially aware of how we "fit" as a couple and begin to examine, among other things:

What's it like to be married to me? How do I become a better part of this "couple" that I'm helping to create?  How do I learn to have more empathy for my partner's perspective and feelings? Can I develop the ability to determine what I'm feeling and why?

What's the link between my emotions and behavior? How do I recognize when I'm being passive-agressive and how can I more effectively manage it?

I help you navigate these questions and more in working with you and your partner in the areas of Emotional and Social Intelligence. If you find that your conflict centers around money, I also offer expertise in the area of Financial Intelligence.

The core of my work is in helping you define and reach your highest and best self, as it's here, I feel, that we form the foundation for our relationships with others. We all deserve a home filled with gentleness, love, acceptance and peace.

I'm a licensed therapist and coach in private practice with clients in the US, Canada and around the world. I offer you expertise gained over 16,000 client hours since graduating with a Masters in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco.
